Welcome to Timberland Farm! We are located in Forrest, Illinois, which is about 1hr & 15 minutes straight east of Peoria.

My name is Julie, my husband is Wayne, and we have 2 kids Sadie & Brendan. We all love having our rabbits! Especially Wayne he gets most the big, dirty jobs. LOL! We started out with 3 rabbits (Mini Rex "Momma","Timmy" and a Mini Lop "Bugs") about 6 years ago. We bought them for the kids for Easter and have always enjoyed having them. Then last spring we purchased a little Chinchilla Netherland Dwarf doe to have as a pet in the house. She is what did it for us! We started looking around at the different breeds, decided on Netherland Dwarf, Mini Rex and Lionheads. We started showing a bit and got hooked.

We have purchased our breeding stock from good quality breeders, which I would like to say A BIG THANK YOU to, Tammy Setzke of "Setzke's Dandelions", Louise Rein of "Holland Hideaway", Debbie Owens of "Castle Prairie Bunnies", and Mary Carney for all their help getting us started. We love all 3 breeds, they all have different qualities that we enjoy. It is amazing how different their personalities are. Most people think a rabbit is just a rabbit, but that is not true. Every rabbit is one of a kind and they all deserve to be loved and treasured. We spend alot of time with our "babies", so they are all very tame and like lots of attention.

We also raise turkeys, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Blue laced Red Wyandottes, a variety of Bantams, and of course you can't have a farm without some cats and dogs! We have 7 cats which have all been spayed or neutered, and 1 Red Lab. Our newest additions are our White Tail Deer Nebo & Sweetie. We bought them at about 10 days old and they are now about 1 1/2 yrs old. They are so sweet natured.
